How do I acquire a spectrum every 15 minutes in Jaz?

Follow this procedure to record data to an SD card with the Jaz spectrometer:

  1. Before acquiring data click on X  red button until you reach the JAZ menu.
  2. Scroll down to “File System” click green check button on panel.
  3. Select “^ Find SD Cards” after it indicates “SD card search finished”.
  4. Click on X red button until you reach the JAZ menu.
  5. Scroll down to “System Tools” click green check button on panel.
  6. Scroll down to “Auto Save” click green check button on panel.
  7. Click on the “# Change the Period“.   Enter the time in seconds then click on the green check button.
  8. Click on the “^ Enable”.
  9. Go to main menu and continue taking data characteristics of you choosing by following standard manual procedures

Once you are done saving, before removing SD card or powering down:

  1. Click on X  button to“File System” click green check button on panel once again.
  2. Select “# Release SD Cards” to ensure that all data has been transferred.
  3. When indicated you can remove card and/or power down and access data stored to SD on your PC.
