The qpod® and qpod 2e™ series of temperature-controlled sample compartments are designed for use with fiber optic spectrometers and provide precise control from -30 °C to 105 °C. Each unit is calibrated using a NIST-traceable thermometer and includes variable speed magnetic stirring, dry gas purge and thermometer probe input.

When combined with Ocean Optics spectrometers and accessories, qpod/qpod 2e sample compartments are ideal for absorbance and fluorescence measurements that require careful control of sample temperature. Typical applications include protein and DNA thermodynamics, fluorophore characterization, enzyme kinetics and on-line thermocycling of biological particles.
