This polyimide-coated probe is a good solution for environments that are hostile to metallic probes. Polyimide offers good resistance to harsh chemicals, while the silicone jacket offers protection for the probe in routing. Narrow in diameter, it is also good for applications requiring fine spatial resolution.

  • Mates to system using a BIFBORO-600-2 fiber assembly and 21-02 splice bushing
  • Silicone jacket covers majority of the 18 cm length, with polyimide-coated fiber tip exposed at end
  • Use careful handling due to small diameter
  • Available for FOSPOR sensor formulations

Optional silicone overcoat:

  • Excludes ambient light and cross-fluorescence
  • Eliminates interference from sample color and turbidity
  • Protects the sensor from biofouling interference and chemical degradation
  • Increases response time; use only to mitigate interfering factors described above
  • The overcoat applied to our FOSPOR chemistry has been USP Class VI certified
