Here’s a sampling of the setups at Photonics West 2017:

  • Spectral irradiance and color in emissive displays – using modular spectrometers and accessories to measure color, power and blue light wavelengths
  • Noninvasive tissue monitoring — using UV-Vis and NIR spectroscopy to determine melanin and moisture content in skin
  • Laser characterization – monitoring laser wavelength and power output
  • Environmental monitoring – stack emission monitoring using optical absorption spectroscopy
  • Trace level detection – using SERS substrates to amplify very weak Raman signals by many orders of magnitude, detecting samples such as food adulterants and pesticides
  • Food imaging and analysis – multispectral sensing technologies for crop analysis and quality grading of agricultural samples such as coffee

Ocean Optics on the Road

If you won’t be at BiOS or Photonics West this year, check us out at various conferences and expos in the U.S. and Europe throughout the year. Or contact your local Ocean Optics representative to arrange a visit. We love discussing spectroscopy applications with researchers and scientists like you.
